Our
Language School in Barcelona
Our is School is located on a main street, in the center
of Barcelona in "El Barrio Gothico" beside the Cathedral and only
a 5 minute walk from the well known " Las Ramblas” district (see
below) a wonderful, vibrant part of the city where street vendors
and performers vie for your attention.
The port
district of the city is only a 10-minute walk from the school and
the nearest beach is just 15 minutes away by public transport. The
school is in the perfect part of the city for access to tapas bars,
galleries, stores, boutiques, music shops etc, there is no need
to travel far, everything is "just around the corner".
Our school
is housed in a beautifully newly decorated and renovated building,
(said to be the first building to have been erected on the street).
Our school occupies both the 2nd and 3rd floors of this building
and as you can see from the images of the school, offers a modern
atmosphere with new school furniture and computers.
School facilities
include: 12 spacious and bright classrooms with air conditioning,
a charming break / social room where students can purchase beverages
and relax during or after class, a large TV room and free access
to computers with high speed internet / e-mail.
Our students
come from around the world, many are Europeans and the school can
hold a capacity of about 150 students.
The
“Las Ramblas” district
This tree-lined pedestrian thoroughfare
runs from Plaza Catalunya to Barcelona’s port district, and is a
major attraction. It’s called Las Ramblas because it consists of
five different Ramblas or boulevards one after the other. A casual
walk down Las Ramblas is a must for all tourists. It’s a wonderful,
vibrant part of the city where street vendors and performers vie
for your attention.
On
a typical stroll you might encounter spray paint artists doing spacey
works or Flamenco dancers performing or a lone guitarist busking.
On Las Ramblas there are many kiosks selling magazines, maps guidebooks,
as well as an open pet market with exotic birds, lizards, and other
animals.
There
are many specialty shops and dozens of restaurants lining Las Ramblas,
and the streets leading off into the narrow alleys of the medieval
Barri Gòtic (Barrio Gothico). Day or night there’s always a lot
to see and do in the area. When you tire of walking and shopping,
you can just have an outdoor cafe seat where you watch the endless
parade of people go by.
How
to reach our school in Barcelona
For
those arriving in Barcelona by planeyou will land at Barcelona Airport,
(El Prat de Llobregat, coded BCN). An important international travel
destination, Barcelona Airport receives many incoming flights from
the USA and other European cities. The airport is 13 km (8 miles)
away from central Barcelona to the southwest and there are several
traveling options for getting from the airport to the city.
The fastest
and cheapest way of moving around Barcelona is using public transport.

on Mondays-Thursdays and Sundays and from 5AM to 2AM on Fridays,
