At
the weekend
Why
not consider a trip by ferry or plane to the islands of IBIZA, MALLORCA
or MENORCA. Ibiza is the party capital of the world and it can be
easily reached from Barcelona. Ferries leaves daily from the port
of Valencia to all 3 ports. The ferry normally leaves a few times
daily during the week and once at the weekend, the price per person
varies depending on your destination.
Marvel at
the amazing setting of the Monastery of Montserrat and visit the
famous Royal Basilica. Like thousands of pilgrims before you, you
won't be left untouched by a visit to this magical mountain, with
its peculiar rocky crags, hidden caves and legends of St Peter's
'Black Virgin' and the Holy Grail.
Partial to
a drop of wine? Well, on this tour you can spend a morning in one
of the most famous Spanish Wine cellars in Europe, the famous Cava
Winery Cordorniu, located outside of Barcelona in Sant Sadurni D'Noia
in the Penedés wine region. Afterwards you can head to the peaceful
coastal village of Sitges for a mouth-watering lunch by the sea!
For sun worshippers,
head to the beaches at the weekend! Barcelona has good, clean, sunny
beaches within 15 – 45 minutes away.
