All of our schools have an accommodation coordinator whose responsibility it is to find the right accommodation for our students and to ensure that they are happy in their new environment.
We own many of our apartments and the others are rented exclusively to Sprachcaffe, so if you choose the apartment option you will be sharing with only other students studying at our school. Our host families are carefully selected and we
spend a lot of time finding families that enjoy hosting international students and who live within a reasonable distance from the school.
In most cases we offer a choice of staying in a private single room or sharing a twin double room with another student studying at the school. The twin option is great for students travelling together and who want to be in the same room or for those travelling on a budget. If sharing with someone other than a friend, we try to ensure that the students are not from the same country, so that they are forced to communicate in the language they are learning, its fun and a great way
to make a new friend!
We try to ensure that all our accommodation choices are located within a 30 minutes travelling time to the school, however you will find most of our accommodation is actually located closer.

This is probably our most popular accommodation option and choosing to
live with a host family is probably the best and most effective way to
become fully immersed into the language and culture of your chosen
country.
As mentioned, all families are chosen after a careful selection
procedure and we use the same families all year round to host our
students. They are visited regularly by our schools to ensure that good
living standards are maintained and we also ensure that they live within
a reasonable distance of the school in a safe environment.
Our families also allow access to all living areas in the house and if
for any reason the student is not happy with the designated family, our
school director will do all within their power to make a change that is
suitable for the student.
Our families provide a choice of “Private room or Shared twin bedroom”
usually with 2 meals daily (breakfast and evening meal) however this
depends on each individual location. (Please refer to
the individual school location page for further details).
Your host family will always do their best to engage you in daily
conversation while making you feel as though you are in a "home away
from home". Remember your host family will have different customs and
habits than perhaps you are accustomed to and meals will be prepared
according to local custom.
Our families are diverse with young couples without children, couples
with children (of all age groups) and older couples with grown children
who are no longer at home. We always make an effort to match students to
a host family with common interests, for example, if you like children,
we will try and place you with a family that has children. We cannot
guarantee we can place all our students in the type of family they are
looking for, however we make every effort.
Staying in a family is a truly wonderful experience and many students
make lifetime friends with their host family. However, you should also
have realistic expectations. Your host family may not have the same
comforts as your own home does, you will be treated as a guest and free
to come and go as you wish however you may be expected to obey house
rules and may not be allowed to have friends visit.

This is also a very popular option especially for those students looking for further independence. Our apartments are normally located within the same distance as
our host families or in some cases actually located in our school building.
All apartments are shared with other international students studying at our schools and you could be sharing with many different nationalities. Our apartments are
co-ed, however rooms are shared
with the same gender.
Our apartments vary in size and number of bedrooms, depending on the location. At some schools we offer a choice of different categories of apartments. The
higher the category, the more facilities and
comfort is offered.
Standard Apartment: These apartments are basic and clean, ideal for the budget-oriented traveler. Sometimes they are directly on our campus, or near the school.
At some locations you can also book some meals and the apartment is normally cleaned once a week.
Comfort Apartment: These apartments offer a better standard of location, size, furnishing and equipment. The cleaning service is more frequent, usually twice a
week. At some locations you can also book some meals.
All our apartments offer a choice of private room or shared twin bedroom and provide fully equipped kitchens (including cooking utensils), bathroom facilities and
living areas. Apartments are self-catering, which means meals are not included. Students provide their own groceries and prepare their own meals, however, the
kitchen that you will share is fully equipped so feel free to cook up a storm. In many cases the cooking becomes a social event in the apartment and a great way to
chat and make new friends. Many students have theme nights, where they take turns to prepare a meal from there home country for the rest of the students in the
apartment.
For the duration of your stay in the apartment, you will be living among other students. You are
expected to comply with the 'mutual' house rules. This means that common living areas must be kept
clean and tidy at all times. All students have keys to the apartment and can come and go as they
wish.
All bed linens will be provided, however we suggest you bring your own towels. No laundry service is provided however laundry services are normally located
within walking distance.

Many of our locations offer you the opportunity to stay in tourist class Hotels or Guesthouses
If you would like a little distance after your lessons and time for yourself, hotel accommodation is the right choice for you. We can arrange any type of hotel but
double rooms are only available to two students who travel together.
All students have keys to their rooms and can come and go as they wish. All bed linens, pillows and towels will be provided. A laundry service is normally
provided by the hotel, for an additional charge.
A Guesthouse is a mixture between apartment and hotel, similar to bed and breakfast type accommodation, offers a room with no kitchen facilities but perhaps a
meal plan. Double rooms are only available to two students who travel together.

This option is limited to a few schools and is similar to staying in an apartment but on campus. Our school residences offer a choice of either a private single room
or shared twin bedroom and provide an optional meal plan.
The rooms are similar to hotel rooms and do not provide kitchen facilities, the meals are provided in the
school café or dining area. (For more information on facilities provided, please refer to the individual school location page for further details).
Depending on the destination you can choose between standard and comfort rooms. All bed linens will be provided, however we suggest you bring your own
towels. No laundry service is provided however laundry services are normally located within walking distance.
